Food Ninja is a school project focused on reducing household food waste through practical daily tools.
Food Ninja exists to reduce waste starting from each household. The app focuses on the real kitchen workflow: capture what you bought, remember what expires first, and take action early with reminders, recipes, and donation-safe options. We also provide a manually documented and researched donation database for users to donate excess food or items to, helping other people at the same time.
This started as a school project while learning how serious food waste and all kinds of item waste can be. A recurring household pattern drove the build: food or household items gets bought, placed somewhere, forgotten, then discovered only after expiration and thrown away.
The project direction was shaped with support from my school project classmates & teacher, who proposed the original idea and guided the process. And my mom who supported the project through development and iteration.
